“I am truly humbled after reading this book. Guilie and I share the same passion and same love for animals and after reading her book, hearing about her experiences and the lessons she’s learned along the way, it’s clear how much of that passion courses through her veins as she continues to fight for those who can’t fight for themselves. The saying “I didn’t know what I didn’t know” really applies for me. I had no idea what was going on at the “front lines” of rescue work and as I read the book it made me that much more grateful to have my dogs by my side because without people like Guilie, I wouldn’t. It’s a great read that kept me engaged and informed but it also made me laugh and cry. Very few books can evoke tears from me, but these were the good kind.
